CONSTRUCTION EDUCATION FOR CALIFORNIA HIGH SCHOOLS

The Donald Chaiken Building Industry Technology Academy (BITA) is a four-year high school construction education curriculum designed to build awareness of the various career options in construction and provide students the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to pursue a career in the building industry.

BITA provides a confident and qualified workforce to meet industry demand, offset worker retirement, and avoid labor shortages. BITA enhances the public perception of the building industry, its diverse career opportunities, and hardworking employees.

PREPARING TOMORROW'S HOMEBUILDERS

BITA is a Career Technical Education (CTE) pathway program. BITA 1 – 3 are UC/CSU approved under the elective (g) subject requirement. Students learn skills and knowledge needed for future careers or continued education in the building industry.
