Hall of Fame

Established in 1985, the California Homebuilding Foundation Hall of Fame pays tribute to visionary individuals who embody California's pioneering ethos and have left an indelible legacy in the homebuilding sector.

The prestigious Hall of Fame award is bestowed upon individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the homebuilding industry. Inductees represent diverse facets of the field, including homebuilders, architects, developers, urban designers, marketers, real estate professionals, philanthropists, and public servants, each celebrated for their outstanding achievements. A cherished aspect of this gathering is the camaraderie and chance to engage and forge connections while paying tribute to the incoming Hall of Fame Honorees.

Golf Tournaments

The California Homebuilding Foundation's golf tournaments play a pivotal role in expanding programs like the Donald Chaiken Building Industry Technology Academy (BITA), a high school education curriculum, as well as supporting the Foundation’s graduate and postgraduate scholarship initiatives. These tournaments are co-hosted with prominent industry organizations that share a commitment to the Foundation's mission and vision.

Each year, our annual tournaments are held in both Northern and Southern California, spanning across the communities we are dedicated to serving.

Music for a Cause Benefit Concerts

The California Homebuilding Foundation hosts two 'Music for a Cause Benefit Concerts,' one in San Diego County and the other in Northern California. These summer concerts offer inspiration and creativity while bringing together Foundation programs and services, highlighting the significance of construction education for California's future workforce.

While the event may resemble concerts you've experienced, the California Homebuilding Foundation's 'Music for a Cause Benefit Concert' offers much more than just music. It's a chance for you to support a student in a construction education program, your community, and our industry. The concert features local beers, fine wines, delicious food, and invaluable networking opportunities with industry peers.

Southern California Wine Event

You're cordially invited to participate in or sponsor an evening of exquisite wines and gourmet cuisine, all in support of the Donald Chaiken Building Industry Technology Program (BITA). This event provides an opportunity for you to give back by backing a program that inspires students to explore careers within our industry, while also offering a platform for networking with friends and colleagues.

Building Workforce Diversity

Recognizing the increasing significance of fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within the homebuilding industry workforce and the communities we serve, the Building Workforce Diversity Mixer aims to raise awareness about programs offered by the California Homebuilding Foundation and the California Building Industry Association (CBIA) Professional Women in Building. This event shines a spotlight on the progress of professional opportunities for women, people of color, and students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.
