ANTHONY A. ALLEN

Citation Homes

Inducted into the California Homebuilding Foundation Hall of Fame in 1997, Anthony "Tony" Allen was one of Southern California's most respected leaders in residential development.

Tony began his homebuilding career in 1962 and spent more than two decades with Irvine based Citation Homes, helping establish the company as one of the region's premier homebuilders. Guided by his commitment to quality, thoughtful design, and lasting value, Citation Homes and its predecessor companies built more than 30,000 homes throughout Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties, creating communities where thousands of California families built their lives.

His leadership extended well beyond his own company. Tony served as President of the Home Builders Council, President of the Orange County Chapter of the Building Industry Association, Trustee of the organization's Consortium Trust, and Director of the Building Industry Association of Southern California. Throughout his career, he was a tireless advocate for the homebuilding industry and a trusted mentor to countless colleagues.

A graduate of the University of Southern California with a degree in business administration, Tony remained deeply connected to his alma mater as a founding member of the USC Lusk Center for Real Estate and a member of its building committee.

Tony was equally dedicated to serving his community. He served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Orange County Performing Arts Center and as a member of its Executive Committee. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Discovery Science Center and the Orange County Council of the Boy Scouts of America. His service was recognized with the City of Hope Spirit of Life Award and the Boy Scouts of America Good Scout Award.

Above all, Tony was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and family man. He shared his life with his beloved wife, Ginger, and took great pride in seeing his children continue the family legacy at Citation Homes. His son, Scott, succeeded him as President after Tony became Chairman of the Board, while his daughter, Tracy, served as the company's Marketing Director.

Tony will be remembered for his integrity, vision, generosity, and unwavering commitment to excellence. His influence lives on in the communities he helped build, the industry he helped shape, and the many lives he touched through his leadership, mentorship, and service. His legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
