Who We Are
Since the 1950s; CHF|CIRB has been the industry's authoritative source for providing statistical information for California's building and construction industry. 

What We Do
The CHF|CIRB Report is the only building permit, data collecting organization in California that delivers monthly permit statistics of residential and commercial construction, receiving monthly data from more than 530 counties and cities within throughout California. (See side-tab for Counties and Cities reporting monthly data)

CHF|CIRB - Products and Services

California Construction Review
California Construction Review (CCR) is a monthly residential and private non-residential building data report for California, including monthly comparisons and year-to-date comparisons for the state and a whole by county, region and metropolitan areas, along with, Employment Development Department data and statistics.

Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) Report
Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) Report, reports permits for the combined counties for the State of California’s MSAs. The data includes single-family and multi-family data and valuations for non-residential permits for the various categories. Data is reported monthly and released on the same schedule and format as the California Construction Review.

Modified Report
Modified Report is a tailored report of consumer selected counties and or cities, providing residential and private non-residential building permit data. Data is reported monthly and released on the same schedule and format as the California Construction Review.

Annual Statewide Building Permit Summary
Annual Building Permit Summary reports building permit data by category for all 58 counties and reporting cities within for the previous year – Released each April. Post reports available at any time.

Individual Custom Report
Individual Custom Report is a customized report providing current and/or historical residential and private non-residential building data for a specified area within the year(s) requested. Custom report formats are available for County, City and Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA).
