Scholarships
INVESTING IN THE FUTURE
Mission
To promote the homebuilding industry through scholarship, research, education and professional recognition.
General
The Foundation has raised over $3.6 million in endowments for scholarships through the generosity of its benefactors, including many Hall of Fame Inductees. CHF works with over 60 colleges and universities in California that offer and provide degree programs promoting the homebuilding industry.
Stewardship
The CHF Board of Trustees takes seriously its duty to provide wise stewardship of the assets entrusted to them. The assets of the Scholarship Fund will be invested in accordance with the investment policies of the Foundation. Each year, 5% of the Scholarship Fund balance will be available for distribution. The annual fee for administration of the Fund will be .5% of fund balance.
Distributions
CHF has distributed over $1.5 million in scholarships and grants to students enrolled in industry-related programs such as construction management or architecture. CHF's goal is to help students complete their degrees and find employment within the homebuilding industry.
